Symptoms Treated

ADD/ADHD

LENS decreases impulsivity, distractibility and hyperactivity while increasing patience and thoughtfulness.  The world becomes easier to navigate.  You become able to organize yourself internally so that you are then able to slow down and organize your responses.  Life becomes less of a struggle.

Addictions

“Neurofeedback is so effective at reducing relapse rate because so many people suffering from substance abuse are also struggling with depression, anxiety, insomnia, and trauma.  Because neurofeedback can be so effective at treating these, it is much easier to remain abstinent.  Neurofeedback is also extremely helpful in withdrawing from antidepressants sleeping pills, benzodiazepines and other medications.”  David Dubin, M.D.

Anger including Children with Oppositional Defiant Disorders

Anger is often ignited by a type of brain firing overload that can be greatly relieved.  More internal space opens with which to sort out one’s emotional reactivity with a fresh awareness.  Better emotional self regulation emerges.

Anxiety

LENS is exceptionally effective at reducing anxiety.  Ninety percent of clients begin to experience improvement in the first or second session.  LENS also improves resilience, the ability to handle stress, and helps create a sense of calm in difficult situations.

Autism

Children on the spectrum can experience reduced seizures and nervous system overload, greater relaxation and emotional availability, quicker developmental leaps, and more.  A 2006 study using neurofeedback showed a 40 percent reduction in autistic symptoms, enhancement  of function between the brain and behavior, and reduction of hyperconnectivity  When LENS is combined with CranioSacral Therapy, then the rigid skull pattern that often accompanies autism can be transformed into  a more flexible, adaptive one, thus extending and deepening the benefits of LENS.

Chemo and Anesthesia Brain Fog

After cancer treatment or an operation, brain functioning can become impaired; the brain is essentially dragging through slower frequencies.  LENS can remind the brain about how to work once again with quicker, more responsive frequencies, thus improving cognition, mood and anxiety.

Depression

LENS helps lift depression, sometimes even when it has been resistant to other treatments.  Energy and motivation can also increase and a client may once again experience a positive sense of health and wellbeing.  Quicker, more responsive frequencies become available to the brain once again.

Learning and Processing Disorders

Visual and auditory processing becomes more organized and efficient.  Sensory overload declines dramatically.  Children with learning hindrances are able to do their schoolwork with decreasing stress and resistance yet increasing confidence.

Memory Loss

LENS quickens neural connections which means that the brain can access what it had once lost or misfiled.  The brain is able to reorganize its storehouse of memories which produces new awareness and insights.

Migraines

Migraines begin to decline in frequency, duration and intensity and are often resolved completely.  “We have had lots of opportunities with incipient or even full-blown migraines (using LENS).  The results can be dramatic: often the headache is aborted on the spot or its severity is greatly reduced …  With the decrease of physical pain, there is an improvement in energy because as one recovers, all the energy one previously spent defending against the pain.”  Stephen Larsen, Ph.D.

Peak Performance

Imagine if you could access your talents more quickly and directly.  Imagine if your anxiety was greatly reduced while your clarity was greatly enhanced.  And imagine if your concentration and focus were right on cue.

Recovery from Strokes

Effects remaining from strokes can be overcome.  However, more extensive strokes require a longer treatment and recovery time.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

In mild and moderate TBI, clarity, concentration, memory, multi-tasking and energy consistently and rapidly improve.  Treating traumatic brain injury is one of LENS’s starring applications as recovery can occur at a startling rate.
